What is The Empath Experiment?

We are excited to introduce The Empath Experiment, SIRA’s new initiative designed specifically for empaths who engage in Non-Suicidal Self-Injury (NSSI). This project is centered around cultivating self-compassion, and emotional connection, and helping you reduce self-injury over time by implementing effective coping skills and connecting with the community.

The Empath Experiment is a subscription-based platform (for ages 18+) crafted to support empaths who struggle with the complexities of self-injury. We understand that NSSI can be an isolating behavior, often driven by deep emotional overwhelm. That’s why connection is at the heart of this project. Through The Empath Experiment, we aim to support you by helping you cultivate self-kindness, build meaningful connections, and prioritize self-care practices.

Rather than focusing on stopping self-injury immediately, we emphasize creating space between you and NSSI, allowing you to reduce harmful behaviors at a pace that feels right for you. Progress happens step-by-step, with a focus on nurturing your emotional resilience and helping you implement coping strategies that become healthy habits over time.

The first phase of The Empath Experiment includes access to our free membership spaces. This initial phase is rooted in the power of connection and community—a vital antidote to the isolation that often accompanies self-injury. Here’s what you can experience right now:

  • Community Conversations:  Join a supportive and understanding community of empaths who are on a similar journey. In these spaces, you can share your experiences and connect with others who understand the challenges of breaking free from self-injury.

  • Shared Resources: In this space, you'll have the opportunity to contribute your own self-care tools and strategies while learning from others. It's a space built on empathy and support, where everyone can share their insights and experiences.

What’s Coming Next?

Soon, we’ll unveil new resources that build on this foundation, including a digital library of coping skills designed to help you implement healthy strategies.

Each phase of The Empath Experiment is designed to provide increasing levels of support, helping you move away from NSSI and toward a healthier, more empowered version of yourself.

Join Us in The Empath Experiment

We invite you to explore The Empath Experiment and take the first steps toward greater emotional connection, self-compassion, and self-injury reduction. Every small step you take, whether it’s connecting with others or trying new coping strategies, brings you closer to the healing you deserve.

To ensure The Empath Experiment remains a safe and supportive space, we have a screening form in place. As this is a private community designed exclusively for individuals with lived experience of Non-Suicidal Self-Injury (NSSI) who are ages 18 and older, the screening helps us ensure that we are the right fit for you.

These questions are in place to help us create and maintain a safe, secure, and understanding environment where every member can feel supported and respected. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in protecting this space for everyone involved.

If you're ready to join the free membership of The Empath Experiment, simply fill out the form here, and a team member will be in touch.

We are honored to walk alongside you on this journey toward a healthier, more empowered you.
